Assembling the AMX-30

Step 1. Start by gluing the two hull pieces together.		Step 2. Next, attach the right-hand side.

Below: The right-hand side tracks in place.	Step 3. Repeat for the left-hand side tracks.

Below: You may wish to add track guards, if so attach them with the rounded edge facing the front of the hull.

Step 4. Glue together the two halves of the turret.

Step 5. Combine the upper mantlet and the gun barrel pieces.		Step 6. Attach the gun assembly to the turret.

Below: Gun in place.	Step 7. Continue by attaching the cuppola.

Step 8. Add your choice of commander hatch to the cuppola.

Below: Close hatch in position.	Step 9. Add the rails the the outside of the turret.

Step 9. Glue in the commanders MG.		Step 11. Add the turret peg.

Alternatively, you may prefer to glue rare earth magnets into the recess in the hull and to the bottom of the turret. Magnets are a quick and secure way of fixing your turrets to the hulls, but they are a small added expense, which is why the turret peg is provided, leaving the choice up to you. Rare Earth Magnets (XX105) are available through the online store here... These 1mm x 5mm magnets fit perfectly into the round spaces in the hull and turret.

Step 12. With the turret peg glued in add the completed turret to the hull assembly.
