Operation Nordic Lion 2024
Hosted at the Parola Armour Museum

The second ever Operation Nordic Lion, a WWIII:Team Yankee tournament, was held on 19th and 20th of January. The location was again the Parola Armour Museum in Hämeenlinna Finland.

This year the event had four games, each lasting for three hours, divided to the two days. And each player had 65pts to use on their armies. Many may think that this is not enough for a cohesive army with all the bells and whistles. But you'd be surpriced how different kind of armies people came up with and still managed to have armor, infantry, artillery, anti-air and aviation in their lists.

Just like last year the museum was open normally so the public could come and see and ask questions about the game.

Like last year we had 14 players attending to the tournament. Prizes were generously provided by Battlefront and the Parola Armour Museum.

Once again the battles were hard and bloody as every commander quided their forces towards hopeful victory. But alas not every battle can be won. After all the games had finished on the second day, we had our answer to who'd be the Nordic Lion of 2024:

1st place: Håkan

2nd place: Henri

3rd place: Jaakko

Best Painted: Martin

Best Sportsman: Janne

Dunkirk Award: Eetu

I want to thank everyone for participating to the event. Thank you Nopat and Taktiikka for the material, logistical and moral support. Thank you Parola Armour Museum for the most excellent and apropriate venue, food, prizes and service. And thank you Battlefront for the awesome prizes.
