With its usual professionalism, the British Army has prepared for war. Now, as the Soviet Army floods across the border into West Germany, it is ready and waiting. Scorpion and Scimitar light tanks skirmish with the Soviet forward detachments as the Chieftain armoured regiments wait to strike back. The infantry hold the towns and woods, forcing the enemy into killing zones. If anything breaks through, the airmobile troops in their Lynx helicopters will hold them. The British Army is ready!

Assembling The M109 self-propelled howitzer
Step 1. Begin assembly of the M109 by attaching the tracks. Remember, for resin and metal models, the best glue to use is cyanoacrylate commonly known as Super Glue.
Tip: Ensure that the toothed drive sprocket is towards the front of the vehicle. Below: The left-hand side track attached to the hull. Below: The right-hand side track attached to the hull.

Tip: When referring to left or right-hand side in regards to a Team Yankee miniature, the orientation is determined as if looking at the vehicle from the rear.
Step 2. Next, attach the recoil spades to the back of the resin hull of the M109. Below: The left-hand side recoil spade in place. Below: Both recoil spades correctly attached to the rear of the M109.

Step 3. Attach the 155mm gun to the turret. The recess is designed to allow you to use rare earth magnets to make the gun removable, but as there is only one gun option for the M109 in Team Yankee, you will probably prefer to simply glue it in place. Step 4. Next, attach the commander's hatch to the top of the turret.

Adding Rare Earth Magnets
You may choose to glue rare earth magnets into the recess in the hull and to the bottom of the turret. Magnets are a quick and secure way of fixing your turrets to the hulls, rather than just relying on gravity.
