How to assemble your Leopard 1 tanks.

Assembling the Leopard 1 Hull
Step 1. Start by gluing the right-hand hull side to the hull top piece. Step 2. Repeat for the left-hand side.

Below: The correctly attached tracks. Step 3. Attach the rear plate to the lower hull.

Step 4. Glue the top and bottom hull pieces together, Step 5. Attach the right-hand side track.

Step 8. Repeat for the left-hand side.

Assembling the Cast Leopard 1 Turret (Dutch/German)
Step 1. Join the two turret pieces.

Step 2. Glue on the rear add on armour.

Step 3. Continue by attaching the left-hand side add on armour.
Step 4. And right-hand side.

Below: Add on armour in place. Step 5. Add your choice of commander hatch to the turret assembly.

Below: Commanders hatch in position. Step 4. Attach the turrets front add on armour.

Step 8. Mount the search light on the top of the mantlet.

Step 9. Glue in the main gun. Step 10. Add the MG.

Alternatively, you may prefer to glue rare earth magnets into the recess in the hull and to the bottom of the turret. Magnets are a quick and secure way of fixing your turrets to the hulls, but they are a small added expense, which is why the turret peg is provided, leaving the choice up to you.

Rare Earth Magnets (XX105) are available through the online store here...

These 1mm x 5mm magnets fit perfectly into the round spaces in the hull and turret.

Step 11. Insert the turret peg into the round recess on the bottom of the turret. Simply place the turret onto in the body without gluing, so you can rotate the turret to point at the shooting target.

Assembling the Welded Leopard 1 Turret (Australian/Canadian/German)

Step 1. Start assembly of the Something Leopard 1 turret by joining the two turret pieces.

Step 2. Glue on the right-hand side smoke dischargers.

 Below: Smoke dischargers attached. Step 3. Add fuel cans to the rear of the turret.

Step 4. Attach the left-hand side smoke dischargers to the turret assembly. Step 5. Glue the mantlet to the front of the turret.
