ZSU-23-4 Shilka AA Platoon (TSBX05)
Includes two ZSU 23-4 Shilka AA tanks and one Unit Card. The ZSU-23-4 Shilka (named after a Russian river) is an effective, combat-proven, air defence artillery system mounting four liquid-cooled 23mm 2A7 cannon. The Shilka can engage targets with a fully-integrated, radar-guided, automatic target acquisition, tracking and ranging system with backup visual sights.

The Soviet Union’s most powerful forces are stationed in East Germany and Czechoslovakia, poised on the border with West Germany ready to strike at a moment’s notice. They are equipped with the very best Soviet industry has to offer, from sophisticated missile firing T-80 and T-64 tanks, powerful T-72 tanks, and tough, reliable, and upgraded T-62M and T-55AM tanks to versatile BMP infantry fighting vehicles, as well as plentiful BTR-60 armoured personnel carriers. Supported by elite Afgansty Air Assault troops, powerful self-propelled artillery there will be little that the corrupt capitalist armies of NATO can do to stop them. Soon the western workers will be free and the dawn of a new socialist age will begin!

Assembling the ZSU-23-4 Shilka AA |
Tip: When referring to left or right-hand side in regards to a Team Yankee miniature, the orientation is determined as if looking at the vehicle from the rear. |
Step 1. Begin assembly by adding the tracks. there are left/right indicators on the back of each track to ensure they are put on the correct way. |

Step 2. Next glue the radar dish onto the top of the turret. There are two small notches towards the rear that the radar mount will fit into. |
Step 3. The cannon assembly comes in two pieces. There are three small bumps and corresponding divots to ensure the two halves are positioned correctly. |

Step 4. Glue the cannon mount into the front of the turret. You'll notice there are small notches on one side of the guns. These should be facing down. |

Step 5. Next place the turret into the body of your ZSU-23-4 Shilka and you're done! |

Alternatively, you may prefer to glue rare earth magnets into the recess in the hull and to the bottom of the turret, as a secure way of fixing your turrets to the hulls,
Rare Earth Magnets (XX105) are available through the online store here...
These 1mm x 5mm magnets fit perfectly into the round recess in the centre of the turret well in the hull.
