Includes three Leopard 1 tanks, resin tank commander sprue, decal sheet & three Unit cards.

Though lightly armoured, the Leopard 1 tank is fast and well armed, with a 105mm L7 gun that is more than capable of dealing with any scouting vehicles of Warsaw Pact.

This model is no longer available and has been replaced by our new all plastic Leopard 1 (TGBX14).

Assembling a Leopard 1
Step 1: Start by gluing the resin tracks to the hull. The mounting plates will help to ensure the tracks are placed on the correct side; but just to be sure, make sure the rectangular mud guards are at the back of the tank. Below: The tracks attached correctly.

Step 2: Glue the 105mm gun into the hole in the mantlet. Step 3: Attach the searchlight. The small round nipple fits into the hole, helping to ensure a secure fit.

Step 4: Glue the commander's hatch into the mounting hole. Note the hinge is positioned at the rear of the hatch. If you If you want your tank to have a commander (a good way to identify the unit commander, or just to make the tank look unique), use the open hatch instead. It's a good idea to paint the commander figure separately, then glue him in place after painting.

Step 5: Finally, glue the AA machine-gun into the mounting hole behind the loader's hatch. Because machine-guns are quite fragile parts, some modellers also like to paint them separately before attaching them. Below: The fully assembled Leopard 1, complete with a commander figure.
