World War III: NATO Forces

The Mortier de 120mm Rayé Tracté Modèle F1 (120mm rifled towed mortar, model F1, RT F1 for short) is a heavy mortar of French design.

Each infantry regiment has a battery of six RT F1 120mm mortars to provide the four mechanised infantry companies of the regiment with indirect fire support.

This mortar system has excellent range, delivering fast and effective bombardments on enemy positions, as well as providing covering smoke when required.

The RT F1 mortar can be towed by a variant of the VAB fitted with racks for the 120mm mortar ammunition or a similarly modified version of the AMX-10P infantry fighting vehicle.
