Assembly guide on how to assemble your T-72 Tanks.

Step 1. Begin assembly of your T-72 by glueing on the tracks. There are different spaced notches to ensure you don't put them on backwards. Step 2. Next glue on the back plate.

Below: You'll notice that the plate sits a bit higher than the hull right now - this is normal. Step 3. Glue the top and bottom hull together. You'll notice now that the back plate fits perfectly with the top assembled.

Step 4. Glue the side skirts onto the hull by lining up the two notches. This can be a little tricky. Note: The two side skirts are different. The left-hand side skirt has a small notch taken out of it. This is to make way for the exhaust.

Step 5. Assemble the fuel drums by gluing a top and bottom piece together. The difference is illustrated to the right.

Step 6. Next glue the assembled fuel drums to the rear of the hull. The mounting brackets should be facing the ground. Step 7. Finish off the hull assembly by gluing the unditching beam to the locating tabs on the rear.

Step 8. Begin assembly of the turret by gluing the top and bottom pieces together. It can only fit in one way, so don't worry about gluing it together wrong. Step 9. Glue the connector pin into the bottom of the turret.

Alternatively, you may prefer to glue rare earth magnets into the recess in the hull and to the bottom of the turret. Magnets are a quick and secure way of fixing your turrets to the hulls, but they are a small added expense, which is why the turret peg is provided, leaving the choice up to you.

Rare Earth Magnets (XX105) are available through the online store here...

These 1mm x 5mm magnets fit perfectly into the round spaces in the hull and turret.

Step 10. Next add the gun to the turret. Below: Turret correctly glued.

Step 11. Glue the smoke dischargers onto the front of the turret. The smaller cluster of four goes on the right, and the larger cluster of six goes onto he left. Step 12. There are open and closed hatches to chose from. I chose the closed hatch for this guide. Make sure the MG holder is hanging off to the right.

Step 13. Finish off the turret by gluing in the search light. This goes into a small notch on the right-hand side of the gun. Step 14. Place the turret into the hull to finish off the T-72.

Optional:

If you would like to add the optional mine ploughs to your T-72, position them at the front of the hull and glue them to the bottom as illustrated to the right.
