How to assemble your AMX AuF1 howitzers.

Assembling the AMX AuF1
Step 1. Start by gluing the two hull pieces together. Step 2. Next, attach the right-hand side.

Below: The right-hand side tracks in place. Step 3. Repeat for the left-hand side tracks.

Below: You may wish to add track guards, if so attach them with the rounded edge facing the front of the hull.

Step 4. Glue together the turret top and floor.

Step 5. Attach the turret rear. Step 6. Glue in the front plate.

Below: Front plate in position. Step 7. Add the commanders hatch in the open or closed position.

Step 8. Add the gun to the turret asembly. Step 9. Glue in a turret peg.

Alternatively, you may prefer to glue rare earth magnets into the recess in the hull and to the bottom of the turret. Magnets are a quick and secure way of fixing your turrets to the hulls, but they are a small added expense, which is why the turret peg is provided, leaving the choice up to you.

These 1mm x 5mm magnets fit perfectly into the round spaces in the hull and turret.

Step 10. With the turret peg glued in add the completed turret to the hull assembly.
